Welcome to the lab
Our lab studies how physical and molecular signals are integrated to control cellular response and tissue organization.
We are particularly interested in two fundamental questions: 1) understanding how nuclear structure and organization changes in response to mechanochemical cues; 2) determining how nuclear organization ensures chromosomal stability and tissue homeostasis. To achieve this, we employ a multidisciplinary approach, combining a wide range of physical manipulations with high-resolution imaging, force measurements and molecular biology techniques. We try to understand how mechanical and molecular signals are integrated in space and time to ensure cell and tissue organization. Ultimately, we hope to learn how these signals might be altered in pathological conditions, such as cancer and premature aging. |
